John Hancock Charter School needs your help to ensure we continue to deliver a first class educational experience for our students. Donate Now!
John Hancock uses donations to help fund the following programs:
Music - JHCS provides strings instruction to all K-6th grade students. This is a very expensive program requiring purchasing and repairing violins, violas, cellos and bass instruments. It also requires purchasing music and renting facilities for our performances.
Library - We want to increase the number of audio books, non fiction books and picture books for the use of our students and teachers.
Field Trips - We want to provide our students opportunities to attend field trips. Field trips provide students valuable life experiences.
Technology - Staying current on new technology is very expensive. Current needs include replacing dated teacher computers, providing document cameras to all teachers, updating our classroom audio enhancement units, and replacing broken computers in our student computer lab.
Character Education/Patriotism - We pride ourselves in preparing our students for life outside of the school walls. We teach our students about patriotism and the importance of being a good citizen. We also teach problem solving and social skills so they succeed in life.
STEM - We want to focus on the science, technology, engineering and math as these subjects are in demand in our current work place. We are hoping to provide our students with an engineering curriculum which will require materials and teacher training.
New Facility - We are actively seeking donations to help us build a new building! We offer a great education but a new facility will provide us with further options we currently do not have.
You can also purchase supplies and donate them to the school. General school supplies can be found on Amazon under John Hancock Charter School.
