School LAND Trust
Funds for the School LAND Trust Program come from the permanent State School Fund and are distributed to all school districts and charter schools in the state of Utah. In charter schools a Trust Land Council, composed of elected parents and educators, along with the school principal, reviews the needs of the school using school-wide assessment data and determines a plan to meet the school’s most critical academic need(s). After approval by local school boards, funding is sent to each school with an approved plan before the school year begins.
